COVID-19 Update [Edited]

Hello Seniors!

As you may have noticed, we are currently getting to not only study history but also to experience it being made! We will be holding class as normal this week but will do it via zoom. Plan on logging in around 9:15 3:15. You will need to set up zoom on your laptop or phone. I will send you our meeting ID before class. Please sign up now so that you don't have to worry about it the day of. 

Additionally, the Junior-Senior debate is currently being discussed. It may be that we end up doing it online, depending on the progression of events. Stay tuned for more updates!

	2 integrated quotes from the text, please see guidelines on the following page (30)
	Word Count between 800 and 1200. (30)

Content:  7 paragraphs as listed below

	Introduction:  Title, author background, and central purpose of the book identified, including the author's thesis (shows his opinion). Statement of student thesis related to the impact the book had on the individual student and the student's opinion of its importance as a text. (20)
	Note how the author organized the narrative of his life. (10)
	Identify the stories that the author uses to support his thesis.  Use quotes here! (20)
	Discuss outside sources that analyzed the book or Joseph Alsop and his place in history . Please don’t use Amazon review! Another good place for quotes! (10)
	Discuss your opinion of the importance of the text.  Be specific! Give 3-4 points supporting your thesis. The reader does not care if you liked the book or not. (10)
	Discuss how this book has impacted your view of American culture in general and America’s transformation into a super power during the twentieth century in particular. (20)
	Conclusion:  Review your thesis and support.  Commend or condemn the author! (10)
